Pantechnicon, London

Pantechnicon is a local dining and drinking destination in the heart of Belgravia in London. This project consisted of four separate jobs all under one roof – ‘Luum’ a restaurant/night club, ‘Amelie’ a French restaurant, ‘Sachi’ a Japanese restaurant and ‘Arrivals’, the communal areas tying them all together. All four quirky projects were imagined by designer ‘Sagrada’ and we helped them bring them to life. Our works varied from traditional painting, applying ‘Bauerk’ limewash paints and applying an array of different wallcoverings from several suppliers across the world – we even took on the task of having a bespoke fabric paper-backed onto a non-woven paper to apply to walls and ceilings. Ourselves, our client and the design team are all extremely pleased with the finished article and believe that this will become a very popular venue!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Manzi’s Seafood Restaurant, Soho, London

All works completed by UK Decs at ‘Manzis Seafood Restaurant’ in Soho, London.

We tied this job together by using a variety of decorating techniques. Several different coloured emulsion finishes, various wallcoverings, crackle-glaze finishes, and bespoke artwork walls were combined to create a ‘nautical’ theme for the Seafood restaurant. A variety of wallcoverings, again based around the theme, were supplied, and fitted to several walls and ceilings to create the look the client wished for.

 

 

Bromley Town Hall

UK Decs Ltd have taken great pride and pleasure in being part of restoration and refurbishment of the Grade II Listed, historic Bromley Town Hall.

The landmark in Bromley, which stood vacant for over a decade, has been transformed into an amazing space that hosts offices and meeting areas, a restaurant, a members lounge and a hotel. A far-cry from the old courthouse, holding cells and air raid shelters that it once held.

We worked alongside Dulux Paints when assessing the scope of works and throughout the project, to test damp areas of the derelict building and figure out which products would be best suited to the job. Dulux were excellent in providing us with all the information we needed, and we are delighted to have been awarded the ‘Dulux Connect Award for Colour & Design’ for this project!

We were also delighted to be invited to the Painting & Decorating Association’s ‘Premier Trophy Awards 2023’ at the historic Plaisterer’s Hall in London, in July 2023, in recognition for this project. We are very proud to say that we went on to be the ‘Commercial Category Winner 2023’.

 

Everyman Cinema, Marlow

All decorative preparation and finishes completed by ourselves at the new ‘Everyman’ Cinema in Marlow.

A fantastic mixture of paint/wallpaper finishes, iconic film murals and bespoke geometric hand-painted designs have helped create this incredible space.

 

Hammersmith Apollo

  • London’s Hammersmith Apollo is a world famous venue having hosted the likes of the Beatles and David Bowie
  • As a Grade II listed building, English Heritage was involved throughout the work
  • Our involvement included extensive refurbishment work including interior and exterior painting
  • The 12 week, £35k project came in on time and on budget

Victoria Gate Casino

  • Our work on this exciting, new build casino included several specialist services including:
  • Specialist, wide vinyl wall coverings
  • Hanging a large mural
  • Wallpapering a circular hub
  • Spraying individual ceiling tiles different colours
  • We also added mirrored paint above the 6m high bar, to give the illusion that the bar extends all the way to the ceiling

Total Fitness

  • We completed extensive works on the Total Fitness gym facilities, including painting the pool area and car park
  • Surfaces were stripped, primed and treated with intumescent paint before the top coat was applied
  • Specialist paint was also used for the wet and corrosive environment
  • Scaffolding access was required and we provided PASMA trained contractors

The Red Rock Development

  • The Redrock complex in Stockport includes a Light Cinema and several restaurants
  • The £60k+ project was a full refurbishment of the cinema; starting from an empty shell we helped to transform the building into a state of the art cinema
  • We completed the full fit out and used intumescent paint as per health and safety

Piccadilly Gate

  • Piccadilly Gate is a 125,000 sq ft office space in Manchester
  • In this £40k+ renovation project we used a variety of specialist tools and techniques, such as spider equipment to paint
  • As the building was in constant use throughout the day, we completed the work at night to minimise disruption
